Overall vision for CCR Scouting

The main vision for CCR Scouting is to be the avenue for boys, prior to youth group (1st – 5th grade), to grow in Character, Leadership, and Fellowship together.  

CCR Scouting uses the Boy Scouts of America curriculum to aide us in providing the avenue to teach these boys how to grow in Character.

Pack 429’s principles

Pack 429 and CCR have three main principles that encompass the whole pack program.

I. Character Development

            A. 12 Character Connections of Cub Scouts

                        - Citizenship                           - Compassion

                        - Cooperation                        - Courage

                        - Faith                                     - Health and fitness

                        - Honesty                                - Perseverance

                        - Positive attitude                   - Resourcefulness

                        - Respect                                 - Responsibility

 

            B. Faith
                    - Fostering, building, providing life examples,                                                   Scout faith programs

II. Leadership Training

            A. Service
                    - CCR setup, food and toy drives, litter pickup, etc.

            B. Pack activities
                    - Flag, Skits, Presentations, etc.

III. Relationship Building

            A. Trans-generational

                        - Father-sons
                        - Man to Man
                        - Older boys - younger boys
                        - Boys within their age groups
